More bites. Fewer empty days.
Know where the fish are, and which day they'll bite. From the bank or the boat, no fish finder needed.

Every problem has a page.Find yours, and go straight to the fix.
Lars's ten-minute rule: no sign of fish in ten minutes, you move. You stop waiting on empty water.
Choose the bank with a point, deep water close, or the wind on it. Five casts in a fan, then three steps along.
One question does the job: where is the nearest edge with food, cover and comfortable water today?
Five minutes with your coffee: wind, pressure and sky. You know before you load the car.
The wind pushes the food, and the fish follow it. Fish the bank the wind blows into, or the calm pocket next to it.
Lars's rule is simple: weather first. The moon only breaks a tie.
Fish move with the seasons, along the same edges. Follow them month by month, from spring to ice.
Let the rod do the work. Line on the spool, the load, the release: distance without swinging harder.
The low sidearm cast keeps your elbow close to your body. The underhand lob needs almost no shoulder at all.

Lars Dahl
"The fish read the weather. So should you."
I was born in the Lofoten Islands of Norway and fished cod on my father's boat from the age of fourteen. At twenty-eight I came to northern Minnesota, and for thirty-eight years I guided walleye and ice fishing on the big lakes.
My father had no fish finder. He had a logbook, and he read the wind, the sky and the water. These books are that way of fishing, written down for you.

Before you buy
How do the books arrive?
Right after you pay, they come to your email. Read them on your phone, tablet or computer, or print them at home.
I'm not good with computers. Will I manage?
Yes. You open the email and tap the link, and the book opens. If you prefer paper, print it once and keep it in your tackle bag.
Which book should I start with?
If you can't find the fish, start with Vol. III. If you know your spots but not the day, Vol. I. If your cast or your shoulder holds you back, Vol. II. The complete set gives you all three in the right order.
Do I need a boat or a fish finder?
No. Lars never used a fish finder, and every chapter of Vol. I and Vol. III has a "Bank or boat?" box.
I don't fish cold northern lakes. Does it still work?
Yes. Vol. III covers rivers, ponds, reservoirs and big lakes, and its field guide has a section for anglers who fish in the South.
What if the books don't help me?
